The CHIK virus, spread by the Aedes mosquito, brought sturdy and experienced farmers to their knees.
Still reeling from the virus, the shock of hurricane DIWA knocked the stuffing out of the farmers situated in the truck farming areas depriving the markets of regular supplies. It is of course natural in such circumstances to claim state aid to rebuild the farms that were brought down and to maintain the regions farming activity; we only hope that it will live up to our expectations because we are really suffering.
In Metropolitan France, the H5N1 virus, although localized in a well defined zone, had the effect of reducing the consumption of chicken by 30%.

From the 22nd to 24th of February the Coopérative des Avirons visited the Plant Trade Fair in Angers.
It was an opportunity to strengthen links with our current suppliers and to make contact with other partners.
