In order to build up a permanent and substantial reserve of stock,
the cooperative relies on supply platforms in Metropolitan France and Italy.
In Metropolitan France, 3 supply platforms
supply the cooperative: Lyon, Brest and Nantes.
• Lyon via Marseille for urgent supplies: a system of consolidation
shipment in containers. Consolidation and cargo departure Thursday - cargo arrives
before Tuesday: approximately 17 days guaranteed (provides weekly flexibility
and capacity). This represents 5% of the total volume.
• Brest for the livestock buildings and equipment. A cargo departure approximately every 25 days.
Represents 25% of the total volume.
• Nantes the main platform. A weekly cargo departure
of 1 to 2 40 foot containers per week.
Represents 75% of the total volume.
In Italy, the cooperative is liked to 1 platform.
• La Spezia for the Italian suppliers: a system
of consolidation shipment.
In total, the cooperative transports almost
500 20 foot containers (300 full loads and 200 consolidation shipments), or
the equivalent of 15,000 m 3 of cargo each year.
This corresponds to 45,000 listed products and 700 suppliers.
Bulk purchasing is at:
• 75% with Metropolitan France,
• 5% with Italy,
• 5% with Germany,
• the rest is with Belgium, Spain, Madagascar, Sri-Lanka, Brazil, South Africa and the USA
